Luann Wright, President and Founder of NoIndoctrination.org

Luann holds a B.A. (Honors) in zoology from UC Santa Barbara and an M.A. in biology from San Diego State University. She taught high school science for 11 years and holds a credential to teach biology and botany in the California Community Colleges. Presently she designs and presents science lessons to gifted students. Prior to forming the all-volunteer NoIndoctrination.org in 2002, Luann was president of a nonprofit organization that promoted and rewarded academic excellence and improvement.

As president of the nonpartisan, nonprofit NoIndoctrination.org, Luann has appeared on national and local radio and television programs. She has testified before the California State Senate Education Committee and, upon request, submitted NoIndoctrination.org research to the U.S. Senate for a hearing on higher education issues. She was an invited speaker at the 2004 national convention of the American Educational Research Association where she presented a paper titled "Academic Freedom in the Classroom: When 'Freedom' Becomes 'License.'" She has spoken before college and civic groups and has met with legislators and academic senate members - all with the goal of having our colleges and universities foster and enforce the policies and faculty conduct codes they claim to endorse.
